Internal — not for customers

What we can actually sell, and what we can't.

Qustomer is a loyalty, ordering, and POS platform for businesses in Nepal and their customers. One app serves both sides of the counter — the same app that rings up the sale issues the stamp, applies the reward, tracks the table, and books the return visit.

The sale is not "buy a loyalty app"

It's "replace the cash register, the notebook, the WhatsApp order backlog, and the stamp card with one thing — and get a customer database you never had."

The story we tell

The official customer-facing narrative. Use this language with prospects — everything below it is internal detail that backs it up, not what you open with.

Qustomer

Know Your Customers, Grow Your Business.

An all-in-one business operating platform designed for modern businesses, transforming your everyday activities into growth opportunities.

The problem, and what we do about it

The problem

Most businesses are stuck in regular work, and rarely have time or clarity to think about growth. Even those who move beyond daily work often struggle to engage customers effectively, interpret what their business data is telling them, and take meaningful action towards improvement. This leads to losing customers and, ultimately, losing revenue.

The solution

Qustomer is an all-in-one business operating platform that connects business operations — sales, billing, inventory — with customer engagement. Qustomer helps you engage your customers, understand their behaviour, and execute smarter decisions with no extra effort.

The approach — three pillars

Engage

Stay connected with your customers and make them a part of your business.

Understand

See what is actually working in your business, and what needs to be worked upon, through real data and useful insights.

Execute

Take action on those insights using tools built to keep your customers coming back to your business.

How it works

  1. Set up your business's profile in Qustomer.
  2. Run your everyday operations through the platform.
  3. Collect customer information as a part of your regular workflow.
  4. Qustomer automatically engages your customers and generates valuable insights from there.
  5. Take action using the built-in growth tools, and keep customers coming back.

What growth looks like on Qustomer

More repeat customers
Increased revenue
Better understanding of your own business
Easy sales and inventory tracking
Better data-driven decisions

Why choose Qustomer

We're not just a software company — we're a business growth partner for small and medium-scale businesses. We help you understand your business through our platform and provide the tools to scale and grow it: identifying what is going on in your business, what problems you might have, and how you can solve them. Qustomer connects business operations with customer engagement, giving you the insights and tools to grow — all from a single platform.

The brochure, panel by panel

The printed and PDF leave-behind. Six panels — this is the exact copy, so what you say in the room matches what you hand over.

Demo note — what to open if they say "show me the AI"

We lead with AI, and it's ours to claim: the menu-photo scan is AI today, and there's an AI assistant in chat. AI-reviewed analytics and growth recommendations land the week of 10 Aug 2026. Until they do, the recommendations surface in the app is live and populated — it's driven by six rules on the business's own data — so the demo works either way. If someone asks to see the AI reviewing their numbers specifically, scan their menu instead: it's the strongest AI moment we have and it lands harder anyway.

Running a business shouldn't mean guessing what comes next.

  • Customer information lives in multiple places.
  • Punch cards get lost.
  • Loyalty systems are difficult to manage.
  • Operations consume all your time.
  • Important business decisions are made without real data.
  • Growth becomes harder than it should be.

Qustomer changes that.

The pricing model and the product don't line up — know this before you quote

The site sells by staff seats (1 / 5 / 10). The app enforces no staff limit at all — its plans (trial, basic, pro, enterprise) gate how many businesses an organization can run, and nothing else. So seat counts are a commercial promise, not a technical control: nothing stops an eleventh person being added. Treat seat tiers as an honour-system price ladder, and route any multi-business prospect to a quote rather than a listed plan.

Every plan advertises the same seven inclusions: unified loyalty & rewards · all-in-one POS & online shop · reservations & table management · automations & campaigns · WhatsApp integration · advanced analytics & reporting · priority support. That matches the product — no feature is plan-gated.

What a web lead arrives with

The contact form captures these before it reaches you, so don't re-ask them on the call: business name, category, staff size, whether they run software today and which, location, who referred them, and their start timeline. Reasons that unlock the full questionnaire are "bring Qustomer to my business", "book a demo" and "pricing & plans".

Use-case pages you can send

Six industry landing pages exist, each with its own scenarios and highlights: Restaurants & Cafes · Bakeries & Juiceries · Salons & Parlours · Spas & Wellness · Retail Stores · Entertainment & Leisure. There's also a separate consumer-facing page for the customer side of the app.

04

Collateral audit

Every claim in the brochure and on the website, checked against the code. Green is settled — use it freely. Red is not ours to say yet: a prospect who catches one of those stops believing the rest.

Don't quote

"10,000 active businesses · 50M+ rewards redeemed · 95% customer retention"

These three numbers render live on the homepage and have no basis anywhere in the product or data. They read as placeholder marketing figures. Never repeat them in a pitch, a deck, or an email — an inflated install base is the fastest way to lose a serious buyer, and it's the claim most likely to be checked.

Source · qustomer-landing/src/constants/metrics.ts → rendered by PlatformMetrics on the homepage
Don't quote

Six five-star testimonials from Sarah, James, Maria, David, Priya and Oliver

Generic names with stock photography, none of them Nepali, all rated five stars. If a prospect asks "who else uses this near me?", do not point at the testimonials wall — answer with a real reference or say plainly that we're early. Being early is a fine answer; a fabricated reference is not.

Source · qustomer-landing/src/constants/testimonials.ts → rendered on the homepage
Approved — say it

"AI agent reviews your analytics and suggests growth recommendations"

Cleared to use. AI is already real in the product — the menu-photo scan and the chat assistant — and AI-reviewed analytics ship the week of 10 Aug 2026. Today's recommendations run on six rules over the business's own data, so the surface is live and demoable now. See the demo note in the brochure section for what to open if a prospect wants to see it.

Decision · product owner, 3 Aug 2026
Don't quote

"Subscription drinks — recurring pass products, auto-renewal reminders"

On the Bakeries & Juiceries use-case page. There is no customer-facing subscription or recurring-pass product. The only subscriptions table in the product is the organization's own billing plan. A monthly coffee pass would have to be improvised today with gift cards or vouchers — say that honestly if it comes up, because it's a reasonable thing for a juice bar to ask for.

Verified · schema.ts subscriptions = organizationId + plan + maxBusinesses (billing only)
Fixed

"Multi-Outlet Support" → "Multi-business support"

Corrected. We say business, never "outlet" or "branch", in anything a customer sees. The approved panel-5 string is "Multi-business support — roles, permissions, multiple businesses", and it's already reflected in the brochure section above. Anyone sending artwork to print should use that wording.

Rule · CLAUDE.md — Organization = the owner, Business = the trading entity
Fix before print

Seat-based pricing that nothing enforces

The site sells 1 / 5 / 10 staff tiers; the app gates business count, not staff. Either build the seat limit or reword the tiers. Until then it's an honour-system ladder — see Pricing above.

Verified · subscriptions.maxBusinesses + autoVerifyBranches are the only plan levers
Fix before print

Two domains in circulation

The marketing site is qustomer.co; the product lives at qustomer.app (with beta.qustomer.app). Make sure the brochure QR and the printed URL point where you intend, and know which one to say out loud.

Source · landing SITE.url = qustomer.co · Pages projects serve qustomer.app
Fix before print

"Hidden fees that grow as your business scales" as a competitor jab

We position against this on the site while our own plan ladder is priced by a seat count we don't enforce and a business count we do. Fair to say — just make sure our own pricing story is straight first, or it invites the exact question we don't want.

05

Why it's different in one breath

Most loyalty products are a bolt-on: the merchant runs a separate POS, and loyalty is a plastic stamp card nobody scans. Qustomer collapses that — loyalty becomes a side effect of normal operations rather than extra work. And because one binary serves both sides of the counter, the customer's phone is part of the system: they discover the business, order from their table, earn points, get a birthday voucher automatically, and come back — all against one customer record.

The sharpest qualifier

Does this business's revenue depend on repeat customers? If a customer visits once in their life, none of the loyalty, campaign, tier or CRM surface matters — and we're competing as a bare POS, a fight on price we don't want.

06

Three modes, one app

Which app you see depends on your session, not your download. Useful to say out loud early — prospects assume they need to buy separate merchant and customer apps.

Personal mode

The end customer

Wallet, nearby businesses, stamps and vouchers, order tracking, reservations. No organization attached to their session.

Organization mode

The multi-business owner

Roll-up dashboard and insights across every business they own. This is the highest-value demo for a group owner — sell the distance, not the counter.

Business mode

Staff at one business

POS, inventory, live orders, CRM, campaigns — scoped to that one business. Narrowed further by role.

The line that closes staff objections

A cook lands on the live-orders board, a waiter on the floor plan, a manager on campaigns. Nothing is hidden by convention — every surface is gated by an explicit permission.

Bucketed in the business's own timezone. Never say "cohort" to an owner — say "your best-selling item and your best customer".
Shipped
Two cost numbers
An estimated cost (for margin ranking) versus last purchase cost (for real COGS and profit).
Accrual accounting: buying stock isn't an expense, selling it is.

Plans, limits & switches

This is the single easiest place to over-promise. Read it before you quote anything.

The rule

Four plans exist — trial, basic, pro, enterprise — and today they control exactly two things. No feature anywhere in this brief is gated by plan. Do not sell a capability as "a Pro feature". If a prospect needs feature-level tiering, that's a roadmap conversation, not a configuration one.

Plan leverWhat it actually does
Max businessesHow many businesses the organization can run.
Auto-verify branchesWhether new businesses are verified automatically or wait for review.

Per-business switches — everything is ON by default

A platform admin can turn these off for one business. Use them to keep a retail shop's app clean, not as an upsell lever.

SwitchEffect when off

ReservationsBooking surfaces unavailable for that business.

Roles

Eleven role presets ship, plus a safe default for new invites — and custom roles can be authored on the full permission matrix. A strong demo move for a group owner: show them their own org chart inside the permission matrix.

Demo paths & what to say

The three-minute aha, by persona

Owner-operator

POS → customer QR → profile

Ring up a sale, scan the customer QR, watch the stamp land automatically, then open that customer's profile and scroll their whole history. Under three minutes.

Start at the roll-up across every business, drill into one, then show the permission matrix. Sell the distance, not the counter.

Cold meeting

Objection handling

They sayThey meanResponse
"It's expensive"Unproven ROIFrame per-day cost against one recovered regular, or one prevented stock loss.
"My staff won't learn it"Fear of a chaotic transitionRole-scoped views — a waiter only sees the floor plan, a cook only the queue. Offer to be present for the first shift.
"I'll think about it"Not enough painReturn to a specific loss they named. If they never named one, they're B-tier — nurture, don't push.
"Does it work without internet?"Real infrastructure worryBe honest — it's a real-time system and connectivity matters. Do not oversell this one.
"Migration will be painful"Real risk across N sitesLand one business as a pilot, expand once it's boring. This is also our best expansion motion.
"Who fixes it when it breaks at 8pm?"Support responsiveness — the manager's #1 concern, above featuresHave a real answer ready. This one loses deals if you improvise.
Do not do this

Feature-list demos. An owner doesn't want twenty-one modules — they want tonight's problem gone. And avoid anything that sounds like it creates a tax paper trail before trust is established.

18

Straight answers — what we don't do

Read this before every demo. Losing a deal is cheaper than winning one we can't deliver.

"Does it work offline?"
NoThe app needs a connection; going offline shows a reconnect screen. Do not sell offline POS.
"Can I plug in my card machine?"
Not integratedCard can be recorded as a tender, but we don't process card payments — the terminal stays separate. Fonepay dynamic QR is the rail that reconciles automatically.
"Can I export my data to Excel or to my accountant?"
Not todayBulk import is strong — CSV products, contacts, AI menu scan. Bulk export is not shipped. Don't promise it on the strength of the permission existing in the app.
"Do you integrate with Tally / QuickBooks?"
NoFinance lives in the app: ledger, day book, P&L, income and expense categories. It is not a full accounting suite with statutory filing.
"Do the plans unlock different features?"
NoPlans set the number of businesses, not the feature set.
"Will SMS OTP work for my customers abroad?"
Nepal onlySMS OTP is carrier-limited to Nepali networks.
"Is it available outside Nepal?"
Nepal-firstBy design — Fonepay rail, Nepali SMS, English and Nepali. Nothing blocks use elsewhere, but the payment rail won't apply.
"Is there an in-app purchase or commission?"
FreeThe app ships free with no in-app purchases — physical goods and services only.
"Does it handle booking by stylist, with commission?"
UnconfirmedPer-stylist booking and commission is a known coverage gap for salon and spa. Confirm before promising it, or qualify beauty as B-tier.

If a row in this brief stops matching the product, fix it here and flag it in the deal notes. A stale matrix costs more than no matrix.

19

Discovery & qualification

Ask these roughly in this order. Don't pitch until they've named a pain in their own words.

Qualify the model

  1. Out of 10 customers today, how many had been in before?
  2. How many transactions on a normal day? On your busiest day?
  3. How do you take payment right now?

Find the pain

  1. What did you do last night after closing?
  2. Last time something went wrong with an order or with stock — what happened?
  3. If a regular stopped coming, would you know?
  4. How do you tell customers about something new?

Map the committee, then test switching cost

  1. Who else would use this every day?
  2. Who decides? If it isn't the person in front of you, ask what they care about.
  3. Who fixed it the last time your billing or POS broke?
  4. What are you using today, and what do you like about it? If they can't name a dislike, there's no deal yet.
  5. When is your slowest week in the next two months? That's the migration window.

Fit score — run it on every deal

Score each 0–2: repeat-visit revenue · 40–400 daily transactions · hands-on owner · already takes digital payment · names a specific pain · 3+ staff who'd use it · no entrenched system.

8 or more — pursue now
5 to 7 — nurture
Under 5 — disqualify, politely and fast
Walk away early from these

No repeat business. Cash-only by policy and hostile to a digital record. Deep accounting integration as a hard gate. A chain wanting on-prem or a hardware bundle. An IT vendor as the buyer instead of the operator. Poor connectivity as the norm.
